Organism

 Organism

B. Organism
 Most organisms are nourished.
• Self-nourished organisms prepare their own food.  As such, cyanobacteria make their own food in the presence of chlorophyll.  As well as sea snails.  Animals can be divided into the following types based on their food types.  Herbivores: Organisms that depend primarily on plants for their food.  As such, cows, rabbits etc. also call them primary consumers.  Carnivores: These animals depend on primary herbivores for their diet.  These types of animals also have different levels.  Secondary consumers prey on herbivores for their own nutrition.  Whereas, tertiary carnivores get their nourishment by hunting the first two.  Example: A rabbit or deer is the primary consumer, while its prey becomes the secondary consumer.  The lion also hunts wolves, so the lion ranks third tertiary.

Primary Consumer.             Secondary Consumer     Tertiary Consumer
